The unkindest cut

I have as my main credit card, a Visa card that i get Air CAnada aeroplan miles on when i spend. I have had a Mastercard for years and years but i haven't used it for yonks, before the Visa i guess so that's 7 years at least. Yes that's right, i got the Visa after i got back from Italy so i must have used the Mastercard in Italy in October 96.

Call me Unimpressed

Josephine and i went to the waterfront today to see that Irish replica tall ship, the Jeanie Johnston. Nice looking ship. Only it cost $8 per adult to go on board. Ok,,, well that does help support the ship so we paid. But it turns out we had to follow the line of people down into the hold to see the replicated hold with the bunks and stuff and then out the other side around the end and off the ship. That was it. You couldn't wander around on board and look at stuff. On and off. That' was disappointing. The rest of it was roped off to the public AND they had a little box there for "donations" !!! AND they were also selling tshirts and other souvenirs on the dock! Sheesh.

But other that that the day was just gorgeous out. Hot and sunny with a lovely breeze. We had ice cream and stopped for a coffee and sat in the sun for a bit. It was nice to be out in the sun but the waterfront was sooooo crowded. It was a bit overwhelming. Funny saying that when it was far worse the year the Tall Ships were here but i guess you just went with the flow that year.
