So yes, i put the travel agent to work yesterday. It seems strange not doing all the arrangements myself. I've spent lots of time looking for hotels and getting ideas and prices, i've given her a list of ones i liked but told her i was open for suggestions, just wanted to make sure there was an elevator available. I specified Paddington but i forgot that i was planning to return to Manchester, not flying home from London, so Paddington isn't necessary (for the express train to Heathrow, y'see). I should email her and let her know. Suppose it doesn't matter as it's a good area for hotels. Victoria would be more convenient to the bus but most of the ones i've seen in that area aren't as nice. I don't go for rock bottom budget priced hotels as a rule. Paddington/Bayswater is good as well because there are lots of tube stations/lines handy. gramie_dee's pretty flexible and doesn't mind going where i want to go as we have a lot of interests in common, both liking museums and art and he'll suffer a bit of shopping as well ;)) I keep asking what he wants to do and he keeps saying he's happy with whatever i want to do. So it is written. So it shall be done. :)
Closer to the date we'll see what can be organized for a London LJ gtg and as it's over a weekend, here's hoping it will be easier than a work night for most. I never have enough time to see and do stuff in London. *Still* haven't got to the V&A so i think that is going to have to go to the top of the list. The Guildhall is meant to be quite interesting too and has a clock museum. other possibilities...Portobello Road, (or what's that one in east London... Smithfield? or Spitalfields? or are they mainly fruit/veg/fish etc?)
