Dragging my backside through January. Still sleeping inconsistently but my doc is sending me to have a scan for sleep apnea, wondering if that's what is contributing to me waking up so often. I don't think so but it would be good to rule it out. I think it's a variety of things. I keep saying I'll do it and I will but I haven't yet, to get back to exercise. I expect once I will, I will likely sleep better and certainly have more "huff and puff". Why don't i just do it? Because it takes energy that I haven't got. It's a vicious circle. To built up the energy, I need to exercise and to exercise I need the energy. I do feel sleep deprived, overtired most of the time.

Some days are better than others. Last night was probably as good as it ever gets. Doze off and sleep between 10 and 1 a.m. Up to wee. Sleep another hour or so, then because I had been sleeping sitting up against the bed pillow, I took that down and laid down on my pillows as per normal sleeping position. Woke up pretty much every hour after that. Up a couple more times for the bathroom. That's not really what's waking me up but i know if i don't go, I will have to anyway so I go and it's never more than a dribble or so. I could probably hold a full bladder longer!

The sleep apnea thing is a contraption you wear on your head that measures your brain pulses and, well I don't know what else. It's supposed to be fairly quiet and not too awkward to wear but I'm worried it will keep me awake and thus not send the correct readings. I'll get the chance to speak to someone at the clinic tonight when I pick it up. I may be a spaced out cadet tomorrow if it takes even more sleep from me!

Add on top of all this my sore feet which are puffed up and retaining fluid lately. Drinking water will help that apparently but then the overactive bladder comes into effect. I have to see a foot doctor next week. Pretty sure then new orthotics are causing the current foot pain, rubbing alongside the heel. I've reverted to the previous set to keep in my boots and wear the set before that in my sneakers until this is sorted out. i had plantar fascitis in one foot most of last spring and summer into September and I thought that pain was lingering on but it turns out, I'm pretty sure, that it was the new callous that had built up. My feet have always plagued me. I probably should have gone to a podiatrist years ago. I had gone to the chiropractor to ask about the orthotic inserts which is where i got them and he was the one that suggested i get my feet fixed up first and then see if it's the orthotics that causes the callouses to build up so it feels like walking on a little rock.

I must go.
