Sunny Lunch

Sharon and i walked to Pizza Corner (pizza takeaway on three of the four corners at an intersection near the main library in Halifax) to have a donair pizza slice. It was warm, though the sun wasn't beaming down. We sat on the low wall beneath the church that sits on the fourth corner and we fed the birds pieces of the crust and watched the little ones fight the pigeons for the more choice tidbits. Fast little buggers, too! It was nice to get out of the stifling air conditioning for a little while. We noticed a lot of new cafes and bars in the Argyle/Grafton street loop too, Wow things change fast! Most of the eateries on Argyle street have sidewalk and/or rooftop patios and brightly coloured signs and menu boards and it gives the street a very funky and very inviting air. On the walk back we passed one pub that had an outside speaker blasting Margaritaville, very summery sounding. It's almost time to leave, i think i'll pick up a Tall Ships boarding pass before i get the bus. HRM employees can get a 15% discount. Woo. a whole $1.50!
