I turned on the telly for the last half hour of the prayer service for Charles and Camilla who is now the Duchess of Cornwall. They looked very happy as they walked back down the aisle and greeted the crowd watching in a public walkabout.

Camilla ... she looked nice and the dress, though not elaborate, was suiting i thought. But what the heck was she wearing on her head! It might have been gold leaf tipped with Swarovski diamonds but it was butt ugly!

The queen looked nice in a cream suit and hat but she didn't stay long after, posed for a few pics and off back up to the castle followed by the other Royals in two busses! No the queen had a car, she didn't have to ride in the bus *giggle*

Well i say, leave the past in the past, it's done and over and time to move on now. Let them be happy.

I went to bed early last night and didn't sleep straight through, waking a few times. I woke up about 4:30 and couldn't get back to sleep for over an hour between being awake and my tooth hurting so i got up and played solitaire on the puter for 20 minutes or so and went back to bed, dozing on and off until about 10. Seem to have slept off the lurgy i was feeling at least.

Looks like a really nice day out, might go for a walk this afternoon.

she wore a cream suit, which was much nicer than that thing she wore to the blessing, or Ivory to the registry office. (ps I didnt watch it I just saw a bit of the news on sky)

It just showed on sky news people putting flowers and pictures of diana, at Clarence House (I think) with notes on to Camilla "toilet bowls" lol

Oh for heaven's sake. That's so petty really. Ok, Diana was hugely popular and quite hurt by the affair but she did her share as well. I do sympathise with her more than him of course but Diana has been dead for years and the Prince deserves to be happy now.

Being catty though, it's probably as well they didn't get married 35 years ago, their children wouldn't be nearly as good looking as William and Harry ;)

I watched the Blessing ceremony. (I am a sucker for rites and rituals and the Brit National Anthem always brings a tear to my eye.)
I must say I have never seen such a hideous collection of hats in my life. I figure some milliner must be laughing up his sleeve at the joke he played on the royals. EEEEEEgad!

The style over the last few years for those big square "Mad Hatter" style hats for women always makes me laugh. Even the Queen was wearing a similar style. There was one woman in the church that had what looked like a curly branch from a tree on her head. They do love their hats in Britian for weddings though.

How about the one which looked like a squashed chamber pot with a cactus sticking out of the side? I do believe that Edward's wife was sporting that monstrosity!
And those who couldn't afford the big hideous ones looked as if they had gone to Woolworths, grabbed a few poorly-made fake flowers out of the Sale Bin and stuck them on the top of their heads.
Hahaha :)
(I am not meaning to insult Brits because I am one myself.)

It looked like a big gust of wind came along and blew her dreads up off the back of her head or something. Who in the world thought that headpiece was a good idea?

Hehe! Sometimes it's fun being an American over here. You can make fun of things and then pretend it's because you're a silly savage.

It looked like she had a handful of wheat stalks shoved in her hair... other than that...she looked surprisingly good.
