There doesn't seem to be any middle ground with the climate control on the bus in winter. It's either full-furnace heat or freezing. Let's just say my arse is still chilly this morning from sitting on what felt like a block of ice! Believe me, with the amount of natural insulation my backside has, those with bony bums must have felt like they had the bends getting off the bus this morning.

I haven't got my National Geographic Traveler yet this month and i'm rather anxious to see it since there is a story in it called "Celtic Realm" that the photographer at the seminar was involved in. I believe the photos were shot around Scotland, Ireland and Wales, Brittany and North west Spain. I have a box full of old travel magazines and now i am going to have to go back through them to see if i can find photos that he took :) His name is Jim Richardson. There's lots of stuff on Google about him though i didn't see a personal website yet. I was under the impression he had one but possibly not since he's primarily working for National Geographic and Traveler anyway these days. I shall have to peruse some of the sites :) The Photo editor that was there was Dan Westergren who is a self confessed gadget junkie. He says he doesn't buy new stuff, he waits for the photographers to sell off all their old stuff when they go digital and buys it all second hand!

Edited: it is actually the National Geographic magazine proper and i shall go and get one this morning. I've been looking at the site for the article online and it has a nice "sights and sounds" slideshow too.

that
was absolutely incredible.
when I was looking at the slideshow, I got goosebumps.

Mark and I have been thinking of going over the pond next summer for 2 weeks. There's just so many places to think about going to.
Who do think is the best travel agent/person to speak to about a trip over there whenwe dont even know the first place to start?

Me! lol If you're going to the UK, i've been lots of places and i have lots of websites you can use. You need to sit down and decide what kinds of things you might like to see. Get a UK guidebook from the library and we should sit down and chat. Gail in Maritime Travel in your mall was quite helpful to me but i pretty much do most all of my own bookings on line anyway.
