I just watched a real feel-good movie. It's not deep. It's girly. It's predictable. And it's very positive and i came out of it feeling very good.

Beauty Shop. Queen Latifah as Gina who gets to open her own beauty salon, finds love, makes friends and influences people. She overcomes adversity, encourages people to stand up for themselves and be their best and she stomps on the shallow and the vain. I really enjoyed it.

Speaking of movies, i can't recommend Corpse Bride highly enough! Looking at my dvd shelves i think i'd have to say my favourites also include (in random order):
Shallow Grave
The Talented Mr. Ripley
Almost Famous
Rock My World
Still Crazy
A Fish Called Wanda
Fifth Element
Shirley Valentine
Sense and Sensibility
An Awfully Big Adventure

Ah never mind. I could list that many again and there's quite a few Coronation Street related dvd's as well. (no surprise there!) I have a few old classic movies like All About Eve, Gone with the Wind and Now Voyager and a couple of Christmas seasonal ones and hey, since it's easter, i'll just mention another traditional seasonal movie, The Ten Commandments. There's a new version going to be on tv i think this weekend but how could anything be better and more cheesy than Chuck Heston and Yul Brynner! So let it be written! So let it be done! It doesn't get any better than that!

And yesterday? well the all day meeting was ok. New departmental organizational chart unveiled but nothing changes for me. I still have the same supervisor thankfully. Some new things we're going to be doing, new processes etc. The stand out event yesterday, or should i say the fall down event was me. falling down. I went for a little walk at lunch time and on the way back into the hotel, my foot caught on a little lip on the step and i went sprawling into the hotel lobby. My knees hurt today a bit but mainly i'm fine. Just my dignity you know. I'm a clumsy menace i'm telling you.

If you should find yourself walking in Seattle, be very, very careful. Walking in Seattle is a trip, literally. The sidewalks are in dreadful shape in many areas. I learned quickly to keep one eye on the scenery and the other on the pathway. :)

Meant to mention that when I first read your entry, my eyes read "my foot caught on my lip" :D

Hey Di, just got back online after a month of NOT. Notice that I don't get your sister's entries anymore, and when I look her up, I only just see last year's stuff. Does that mean she's taken me off her friend's list?

I seem to recall she did take some people off her list... I went back and looked and the post said:
"Now..tomorrow I will be taking a look at my flist and taking about half of the 40 someodd people off. PLEASE do NOT be offended or take it personally.
Mostly they are people I rarely hear from or read anymore cause of different things in common etc. I am sorry if it upsets anyone but I do not believe it will cause of the reasons stated above. Feel free to do the same re me as well and I will understand."
