I've not been too lucky trying to cook the brown rice i've bought. I have a microwave dish that cooks rice really nicely only i've only ever done white rice in it. In my attempt to try to eat better choices, i bought brown rice. I know it takes longer to cook but with this microwave dish i'm not sure of the times. First time i tried, the rice was undercooked and hard as little bullets. This time it's overcooked, sticky and really dry. *sigh* I'll find the happy medium soon!
My Uncle isn't too good. He's the one that has several lung diseases and the kidney failure and was Eddie's dad. They're now saying the kidney failure is related to the lung diseases, probably a cause and effect. He's having dialysis three times a week and usually gets there via the accessible bus which gives my aunt a bit more time to do things since she doesn't have to drive him all the way over to the hospital and go back 4 hours later and pick him up most of the time.
Another snowstorm coming tonight supposedly. We had a very red sunrise this morning and that usually does come before bad weather. It looks like it's started to do something but can't tell what. It should turn to rain by tomorrow. Let it snow! I don't mind as long as i don't have to get home or get to work in it.
