I had plans, ideas....

In the end i just went out for a bit and wandered around. I went to the Public Gardens where there was some generic music playing in the bandstand and loads of people watching. I walked around, took some pics, and wandered my way down Spring Garden Road. There was a rock festival on over by the Hill and you could hear it a bit once you got outside the Gardens. Funny, you couldn't hear it when you were inside the park, must have been a Cone of Silence over it. I suppose all the trees were a bit of a sound buffer. I went into one of the good magazine stores, then down by the library. I had in mind to get some fries but neither of the trucks were there today so i got a spicy Italian sausage on a bun from the other vendor that's usually there and sat on the wall in the sunshine. It was nice today, warm and sunny but a little bit of cloud so it wasn't blazing hot. I thought i might go down to the waterfront where there's free concerts all weekend and i could hear that from the library but i sat there and ended up having no ambition to go after all. I walked a bit further and down on to Barrington Street where i caught a bus home, stopping off for bread and milk on the way.

I did take lots of photos, just random stuff... flowers, buildings, street scenes. Any of you gardeny people know what this type of flower is? It's a lavender blue thing, smallish. I did some googling but couldn't see anything quite the same. Very pretty. You don't see too many blue-ish flowers. There are tiger lilies everywhere and loads of those purple hostas along with them but i actually saw some tiger lilies that were a very pale pink. Really delicate looking!

I believe the blue flowers are a type of hydrangea called Lacecap. I asked someone on my walking route once because she was watering some in her garden, and that's what she said. ( link )
