Things come in threes

Looky what i bought at lunchtime! I noticed that my black purse was getting raggedy around the edges and as much as i like it, i thought i'd look and see what they had over at Classic Shoes. Most of the really nice ones were $150 and up but this one was about half that and has a nice long strap so i can sling it across my body. And it's red! About time i had a red bag! (Photo taken with my noo cam!)

Edited : Photos taken about an hour or so after that first one. First one is taken with overexposure setting because it was of a dark result, and with image stabilizer on.
I then took the one on the left with the old camera. Hand held, no flash, top asa for that camera is 400. It obviously slowed the shutter down and there's shake and the colour is too red. The purse isnt' that bright. The one on the right is takenon the new camera, with the asa manually set to 800, no flash, no exposure compensation and with image stabilizer on. This is the actual colour of the purse as well. I see i will have to manually set the asa for low light situations but that's ok.

Very snazzy!

Ta very much. Purses have to be big enough to carry a paperback book in too!

Ooooh, nice purse/pic! A comparison pic with your old cam might be interesting too :))

It is interesting. The Sony seems to be better in low light, seems to let in more light, probably a slower shutter speed. The new camera, the photo comes out darker but if i manually change the iso to 800 it looks better, no blurry from camera shake like the Sony. anyway, see edit for the post for a comparison.

I really should get brave and try some manual features. I always shoot with the automatic controls. I have relied on post-processing to bring out the color and light, but it would be much less work if I could 'fix' it by doing it properly in the first place. :)

I generally didn't change the settings much either but i think i might have to with this one, at least if i'm shooting with out a flash. And i think i might pay more attention to the iso level.

That's very impressive. :) Also so is your explanation. Perhaps I had better read the manual etc and learn how to do some stuff by hand, as I often have trouble in low-light situations.

I find since i had the camera fixed and they put in a new lense and stuff, i have a harder time with camera shake and i don't think i'm shakier myself, not mostly. I think it's more sensitive perhaps.

Cool purse. I always feel so cheered when I get a new bag.

Just passing through, you're a friend of a friend.

Hugs,
Jac
