May. 29th, 2004 07:46 pmThe sun finally came out but it was just as i got home from the mall. I took my first painting, the one of the beach and rocks, to get a frame for it. Turns out it wasn't an 8x10 or 8x12 like i thought, it's 9x11 or so... That means no standard frame. I decided it still had to be framed seeing as it is the first oil painting i ever did so i picked out a wooden frame that looks like it's made of driftwood, that sort of gray brown colour with a good grain through it. And i picked out a frame for the blue one i did for my neice. I knew that was not going to be cheap because of the size, 16x16 and they had just the right thing for it, flat and black with a bit of texture. looks modern. Nothing traditional would have suited it. A bit pricey as well but you don't turn 16 every day do you :) You can be sure, though, that anything else i do is going to fit a standard frame that i can buy off the shelf ;)
