I do like Fridays

Especially when they're the ones before a long weekend. There are a lot of things i *should* do this weekend, like really tidying up, purging the closets, thinking of something new to paint (suggestions?), and i should get a few groceries and i need a trip to a hardware store as well. Fuses, light bulbs, picture hangers. I've never been one for hardware or DIY stores though i know some women really love them. They tend to be more of a guy fantasy store but then that's still a general stereotype. Not all men like hardware stores. Or cars. I used to like cars. Back when you could more easiliy tell one from another. Back when cars really had personality. Wow. What a brain dump that paragraph turned out to be !

I think i'll try to get to a movie too, Vanity Fair is opening. That may make some of you cringe i suppose but it's more my speed than Alien vs Predator or Spiderman 2 (and i've already had the plot described in very funny detail by Graham anyway ) Hmmm if i go to Bayers Lake cinemas i can go to WalMart after and get the hardware stuff then.

Well i've missed my usual bus but seeing as i already started the morning off by hitting the snooze button twice, i guess it's only fitting i catch the second bus isn't it :) I just hope it's not going to be that kind of day.

Whatta Guy

I normally get off work at about 4, starting at 7:30. Others start later and are off at 4:30. About 3:20 today our manager walked by and said "If you don't need to be here, get the hell out" We weren't about to give him the chance to change his mind :)

Mate Carole was in the office this morning. She had come in to HR to get her forms for long term disability and possibly may be able to get extended sick leave until she qualifies for ltd. She's the one that has been out since March and they still don't have a diagnosis. She has good days and not so good days. She gets tired pretty easily. She still has some sick time left and 6 weeks vacation. She is actually able to take retirement but why do that if you have all this coming to you and the longer you put off taking your pension, the better it is when you do. Anyway if she feels ok tomorrow we're going to see Vanity Fair.
