Another day with clear blue skies, and chilly temps and wind. Brrrrrr.....
We did a few errands and grabbed a quick bite at Wendy's and then drove down to the remains of an old fort that once defended the halifax Harbour, York Redoubt. It was cold down there but it was quite interesting. The fort was built in 1790 and expanded around 1870. There are a few buildings on the grounds, and some very large guns. The buildings are probably open in the summer but it's all closed now in winter.

Here.
Tonight we met
sammantha and Rick at a pub but it was packed out to the rafters. Drove to another place but couldn't find a parking spot so we ended up at the Henry House in downtown Halifax. We had a short wait for a table and then really had a lovely meal with drinks and lots of laughs.
We're not going away this weekend after all. I just don't think my back could stand 5 hours in the car and i wouldn't enjoy myself there, not able to really walk around and see the place. It's improving but slowly and i bought a cane to help keep me from walking like John Wayne which makes my hip ache. This keeps me upright and does take a bit of pressure off my back. But damn, it doesn't half get in my way!
