Many years ago, a very good friend of mine,
naturalbornkaos, used to send me short stories he'd written for a creative writing class. I always enjoyed reading them and would offer criticism. To be honest, though, I never found a lot to criticize. The stories were always good! I may not have the appropriate critical eye for that sort of thing but I know he appreciated the feedback anyway. Over the years, he'd post some of his stories on his LJ. He's also had a horror novel published, Filth Kiss, which, admittedly I did not read because it was a bit too graphic for me.
gramie_dee did, however, and pronounced it excellent.
Fast forward.
He's published a book of his short stories, they're weird, wonderful, and sometimes scary and I shall be getting my hands on a copy soon. In the meantime, you could always have a gander and buy one!
