sparklielizard's Tweet while she was running the London Marathon and I guess that's what did it. In a way, i think i like it better than Facebook mainly because it's basically just status updates without all the applications and invitations that i either have to block or ignore and which often irritate me. I do like FB for photo sharing and i do like to keep up with the people that i used to chat with in a chat room but who have abandoned that and are now on FB. The previous version of FB allowed you to just show Status updates on your feed but it doesn't seem to let me do that now. Twitter seems to be ok. We'll see how long it lasts or if it's just a passing fancy for me.
It, like FB, can be updated by a text so i've set up a group on my phone to send a text to both numbers together and have named the group TwitFace. Sometimes i just crack myself up. :))
Am all packed but have to work today. I didn't take today as a vacation day since the flight doesn't leave until almost midnight. No point in twiddling my thumbs all day. I'll go home, one last check, have a shower and wash my hair and get changed. All set.
Do you know how to twiddle your thumbs, by the way? My Gram taught me how to do it when i was a kid. It isn't just an expression, there really is a way, at least i was taught a way. You clasp your hands together. You know how your thumbs would naturally lay over themselves? Well you pull your palms apart a bit while the fingers are still clasped and then you circle your thumbs around each other. you can change the direction of the circling if you wish. ;) Useless thing to know i suppose but there you are.
My mind is not completely on my job today. No surprise there.
