tvordljI'm back home and back to work. Bummer. But on the bright side, if all goes according to some sort of plan, the next time I see G. will be to bring him back here for good. Cross your bits! We're anticipating March or April or at least before our anniversary in May. I don't like to jinx things so all I will say is "time will tell".
We did go to Platt Hall to see the Gallery of Costume which was quite interesting. We then took a drive without the GPS and ended up in a narrow lane by a field in Cheshire. I got out my phone and found us on Google maps then looked for a pub nearby "where the locals go". Damn, Google win! Pointed us to one 10 minutes away and it was quite nice.
Sunday was a long frigging day and I really really hate Heathrow more and more. Getting up at 4 a.m. doesn't help. Dear god you walk miles in that place and the crowds and queues are awful. I did manage to get a VAT stamp on the form from when I bought the camera so will be getting 19 pounds back against that purchase. Might not sound like a lot but with the exchange rate it's over 40 dollars. That is enough to make it worth while. If it was 19 dollars, not so much. It's supposed to show up on my credit card in 5 business days but I won't hold my breath.
Monday I was wrung out and sore and tired. Did three loads of laundry (not just from the trip, there was a lot there when I left!) and got most things unpacked. There's still a bit of detritus around the bedroom and things scattered about but little by little they'll get put back in place and the suitcase will go back to the storage closet. I need to get some photos from the UK party printed for the wedding album, i must remember to do that online tonight and maybe I can get to Costco on the weekend to pick them up. I need to get over that way to pick up a wedding gift as well
I guess I need to start thinking about Christmas shopping. I always try to finish it before December. I do have a couple of things already for folks and one or two ideas for others. No idea what I am getting for G. though. He went and bought a box set of Xena dvds that i thought i would get him and anything I buy he's going to have to pack and bring with him.
