Six Chix

There's a comic strip in my daily called Six Chix. It's a strip that features female cartoonists, six of them, one each day of the week and they take turns with the sunday strip. It can be quite good and today's struck me funny. Today's strip isn't online as far as i can find, not at Kingfeatures.com but it's got a frizzy haired cat-eyed glasses woman in a striped sundress with an identically coifed, bespectacled and clad child. She's saying to a friend " "Daughter" sounds so limiting --- i prefer to call her my Sequel" *snicker* Oh, here's today's strip but it probably will be overwritten tomorrow from the look of the web page.

I walked home a little way, having got off the bus about 15 minutes away from my stop. It was a fragrant walk home too. I think the breeze was just coming the right way. Every house i passed that had flowers in the garden or in boxes and hanging baskets, i could smell! I don't usually. It was just lovely and i noticed some really pretty flowers though i don't know what they are. can't really describe them but they were very nice. It's overcast and a bit muggy out but not too hot. I think we're in for some rain tonight.

Looks like we're going to get another set of hands at work for the project, a woman that worked for the City of Halifax before leaving to go back to school and has since married as well. She lives quite a ways away in Sheet Harbour though her family still lives here and is interested in coming in maybe 3 days a week at least. That would be great! Hope things can be sorted out and she can start soon. It will be nice to see her and work with her again.
