Grandma's Feather Bed

Ventured out into the grey, foggy, rainy day. When i left, it wasn't raining but it's been doing so on and off all day. I didn't get too wet. My goal was to see if i could lay my hands on a feather bed, which is like a duvet sort of thing only filled with feathers and it lays on top of the mattress, under the sheet. Lovely and soft and cushy for my back. Wal-Mart didn't have any but i did pick up a deep pocket fitted sheet to fit over it all when i get it. Sears had them on the floor, cheapest one $119 and there was one on sale in the Sears Catalogue for 99 so the clerk that was helping me in the store offered to put the order in right there so i didn't have to go over to the catalogue order/pickup center. It will arrive in about 10 days. Meantime, i must wash that new sheet to get the starch out of it.

Got home and made a chicken wrap with green pepper, black olives, cheese and onion. Mmmmm. Having a narsecuppatea and thinking about the laundry that i should be doing.

Remember that Travel Photo Seminar in Toronto i mentioned last week? I registered for it! If i chicken out i can still cancel and get all but $45 back which is fair enough. But as of now, i shall make plans to go to Toronto the weekend of March 11/12 next year. One of my irc friends has already said she'd come into town for the day to hang out and even stay overnight and there are a few others in the area as well. I have every intention of catching up with lola_is_naughty for a big hug as well. The registration email said they'd be in touch closer to the dates to let me know where the seminar is being held. Ideally it's somewhere downtown or accessible by the subway line. Bonus points if it's held in a hotel with decent rates :) just have to stumble out of bed and roll down to the conference area of the hotel.
