Aug. 20th, 2012 10:07 amGosh. Thought i'd written on the weekend but apparently not.
Not that there was a huge amount to say.
I got Mom's car on Friday night because i had to pick up something at the Purolator depot Saturday morning. I ordered some printer ink from Costco online and they went and shipped it by courier. I didn't realize that and it's a pain in the ass. If i do that again, i must check to see if i can redirect the delivery to either my mother or to work. On the plus side, it appears to have been free delivery.
So Saturday morning i realized, by 10 a.m., i hadn't eaten yet and i knew i had to go get my bloodwork done soon so i went to the drugstore that does that on Saturday mornings (for a fee) and got that out of the way first, popped to Purolator then to a hardware store to get some double sided carpet to stick my orthotics into my shoes. Yes, because my shoes have been very squeaky and it's the orthotics moving around in there. Though I did discover a load of sand in there as well from a walk on the beach back in May. It helped a bit getting that out but they're still noisy. I haven't actually stuck them to the shoe yet, just to the other insole. I thought i'd try that first once i'd dumped out the sand.
On to the grocery store to stock up. Lots of nice fresh fruit, a few veg because i'm determined to try to get more vitamins into me. I've been shockingly bad at it for awhile. I also bought a few new clothes on Friday night on the way home. Some tank tops and tshirts, new jeans and a long tank top to sleep in and some new knickers, allowing me to purge the underwear drawer of some of the old ones. That's always such a good feeling! I'd like to get a new fall coat/jacket too but the only ones they had in yet were a bit heavier than i wanted and quite expensive. They were nice, though. And really, that particular jacket could take me from the cool weeks into early winter before i would have to break out the winter coat. Hmm...
