For fans of Halifax local actress Ellen Page who's making such a huge splash in Juno... She's going to host Saturday Night Live on Feb. 23rd, the night before the Oscars and.... apparently she's going to be interviewed by Barbara Walters on her Oscar Night special! I had a feeling that might happen and i'm dead pleased for her! She's been getting a huge amount of publicity though I don't think she's going to win the Oscar. I think there's a lot of heavy competition and she's so young. I hope she does win but i really don't think it's her year this time. She was wonderful in Juno and it was a great little movie. I hope it does win something, maybe best original screenplay. I also caught a glimpse of a magazine the otherday. Time or McLeans or something like that with her face on the front and a big headline "Is Ellen Page Gay?". Who the Fuck Cares, is my answer. Why does *anyone* care these days? It shouldn't be an issue at all whether an actor is gay or not. Not the kind of issue that makes the cover of a national magazine at least.
