Nov. 21st, 2012 12:38 pmI'm back in Canada, back at work. Bleurgh. I didn't mind getting up at 6 this morning but my eyes are tired! Back to the gym after work, too but just a half hour session plus some cardio.
The journey back on Monday wasn't too bad actually. We had to get up at 4:30 a.m. which was insane but when you have a 7:20 a.m. flight you have to get there an hour and a half at least before to check in and we had to return the rental car. There weren't many lineups then, at least, I guess the holidays where loads of people are leaving early in the morning are closer to weekends or on Sundays for the week's package vacation. The flight to Heathrow was actually ok, even though full. The plane was a bit bigger it seemed and the seats were just that little bit roomier so i was relatively comfy. The transfer from T5 to T3 was almost painless and no hellish queues like there were when i arrived. I also was luckly enough to have an empty seat beside me on the transatlantic flight which makes things so much better.
So it's all over for another visit though i will probably be going over for a long weekend in January as i have the chance to visit the Corrie set with some other bloggers and since it's in Manchester and i get to see Graham and not have to worry about hotels, it's just the cost of the airfare really and some meals out maybe. Someone mentioned to me about getting the train from London to Manchester and since i won't have heavy luggage, I may look into that. At least for getting there. Probably book a flight to Heathrow for the trip back though, as if i took the train back, i'd probably have to go down the night before and i would want that last night with G. instead. If the opportunity to go to the studios was anywhere else i wouldn't bother but this gives us a bonus visit in addition.
Yesterday i plowed through the mountain of laundry and started to get caught up on all the recorded tv! I'll probably still be working at that backlog by the weekend.
