(no subject)

Mostly been a quiet weekend. Took Mom out shopping on Saturday. She was looking for a new bedspread or covering. I shudder. She wants a new one every few years, has something very specific in mind and then can't find it. It usually takes a few outings until she's satisfied and sometimes even then she'll bring something home and there will be something wrong with it. This time, we got lucky. She found something she really liked in the third store we went to and it was a "coverlet", which was similar to a quilt but not as heavy. I guess, like a quilted bedspread. She bought a king size though she's only got a queen size bed because she wanted it to be long enough all around like a regular bedspread would be.

I got home and she called later and said that the coverlet was long on the bottom of the bed but not on the sides. I guessed, correctly it turned out, that she'd put it on sideways. I was talking to her today and asked about it. She said yes, it was on sideways. To be fair, if there's no directional pattern in particular, you can't always tell other than how it fits. Anwyay. Then she said, but now I have to put something over it because the cat gets on it and her claws pick at it. Then, what was the point I laughed. She says she'll just keep the bedroom door closed. Again. What was the point? :) The cat loves to sleep there but there are plenty of other places she can nap. I expect that once the newness has worn off it'll be normal services resumed for kitty.

We didn't do anything yesterday and probably won't today since today is a holiday and nothing is open. Mom's coming over a bit later so I can load some books on her ereader and I must take something out of the freezer for later.
