Albert Square
Jul. 19th, 2003 10:49 amMan oh man what a good week for Eastenders!!! it really didnt' take place on the square today, it was Little MO's trial for trying to kill Trevor.
One aside i noticed, Pauline looked at the letter from the court then glanced at her iron.... surely it's not the same iron. Just the ICK factor alone of using it after it had been used as a murder weapon alone would have had me chucking it in the bin but surely the police would have been holding it in evidence anyway.
Little Mo's trial was just one thing after another. Will she testify? Will she absolve Travor. Will she tell the truth? Will she tell the *whole* truth? Will the jury believe her? Will the prosecutor twist things so much that the jury won't think it's self defence? The jury discussions were soooo frustrating but quite interesting. Especially when the older woman jurist explained what it's like to be a battered woman. A really great scene with all the Slaters grasping hands around the table. I tell you it kept me on the edge of my seat. and i REALLY didn't expect the verdict!!!!!!!!! Boy it sure makes a difference not knowing what's going to happen ahead of time doesn't it? It's too late for me to give up Corrie spoilers lol but i'm glad i'm off EE spoilers!
The breakdown and makeup of Gary and Lynn disappointed me. I still root for Beppe. I really thought though that Lynn got a taste of her own medicine when Gary left and it looked like he wasn't going to come back. As much as i don't want them to be together, she *is* often not very nice to him.
Interesting revelation about Mom Slater from Kat. Sure puts a lot of things in a different light doesn't it? Belinda blamed her dad for her choice of Neville but do we really know much about Neville? It sounds like they are very yuppie and Belinda sure buys into the snob culture. I'd say they probably suit each other.
