tvordljWent down in the mall, nearly everything is open. got more tea, batteries and a cheapo phone non-cordless lol! I was always meaning to get one and it took this to get my on it. I booked tonight in the Casino Hotel so i can have tv and a hot shower ... the power might come on by tonight at my place but sod it, i don't want to go all the way home to find it off so might as well treat myself. They didn't have much left but i did get a room with two double beds!
the chiropractor was in as well so they were able to fit me in after my missed appointment yesterday. A few people are in at work but most of them ar out of the office at a convention or seminar or something. Just me and a coworker who's on my project. My boss is in and out as well. He said you know, this really shows up how our disaster recovery doesn't work lol the radio is telling people to stay home unless your supervisor contacts you but there's no phones in a lot of places and then there are people like me who only have cordless and it doesnt' work without power.
Got hold of Mom and dad, they had left a message on my phone at work to call if i got the message. I did, their phone was back on, but they weren't home! Got them on the cell though, they were at Sobey's so at least we touched base. They don't have power yet though.
