sushidog was wondering where Bourbon Creams got their name, that's a little chocolate sandwich cookie. In doing a bit of googling, i discovered a
Friends of the Bourbon Cream group who were giving a lecture on it's history at some point. If, as the say there, it may have re-emerged in prominence during Revolutionary France, that would indicate where the Bourbon name came from. However i also found the Peek Freans site which claims to have invented the first sandwich style cookie in 1910 which later became the bourbon cream.
Then there's just the silliness of creating
cookiehenges.
They're called "con crema al whisky" in Italian.
