Junkie chic
Mar. 29th, 2004 05:33 pmCripes, i look like a junkie again. I had to go to the hospital this morning for a follow up CT scan on my liver. The technician struggled with the IV this time, and i'm bruised and a bit swollen on the crook of that arm and it's deep purple and still sore to touch. Scan itself was fine. no big deal there. Nice to have the car to get there and then over to the north end of Halifax though. Would have taken me ages by bus.
Since i wasn't allowed to eat, i made a homemade bread Peanutbutter sandwich to take with me for when i left and stopped at a Tim's drive through for tea. Got to the school by nearly 10. Just in time for morning break.
The classroom is in the bowels of the school, way at the back on the ground floor, it feels like the basement because the school is on a piece of land that rises. There's actually 2 or three floors below the one that's at the front main entrance but you are level with the back parking lot at the back lower level. Instructor seems pretty good. Takes lots of short breaks instead of one morning and one afternoon break. Lunch was ok, local pub, very slow service.
Vince will pick me up tomorrow morning and then i'll go back to my own apartment for the rest of the week. Will download my photos from the weekend, i took some of my most recent painting and of the oil rig in the harbour.
Nice to have the week off from the office. Nice to have wheels. Nice to get back to my own bed and stuff though.
