Mount St. Helen's has just erupted! They just interrupted the tv broadcast and Peter Jennings made a point to say they weren't breaking in to announce anything bad, no danger to anyone. LOL scuse me? it's a volcano! Well of course he meant terrorism but did say as far as they knew nobody was in danger. The volcano has been making noises and smoking for a few days so there's been warnings. Ang!!! Did you see any of it?

I had another Cat scan this morning for my liver, pretty much just that they are following up and keeping an eye on it i guess. It's a nuisance though. And they were running late so instead of 11:30 i didn't get in until almost 12:30 and you can't eat for at least 4 hours before. Well, if i had known i was going to be that late, i could have got up early and had some toast or something. I bought a chocolate bar when i finally got out and then went to Tracey's for a visit and she gave me crackers and peanutbutter, an orange and some Pepsi. The baby was cute too, she was feeding him pieces of orange but it was on the sour side. How can you resist that face?

Picked up a few groceries, home now and have two loads of laundry on.

Congratulations to metalhellsangel who is getting married today.

Saw a very good HBO movie this morning with *ahem* Alan Rickman in it, called Something the Lord Made. He was playing a doctor in the 30's and 40's, Alfred Blalock who pioneered open heart surgery. He was the one that first operated on a "blue" baby. It was about him and his black lab assistant and though the LA did a lot of the work and the doctor probably never would have got where he did without him, he was black in an age where he was still thought of as a third class citizen. No recognition for his work at all. Alan was lovely as always in it. That voice really can melt butter :)

What's on right now is an older Australian movie from 1991 with a very young Russell Crowe. Gorgeous. But there was a scene with him strumming a guitar and singing. I understand he does sing in a band. I hope he's improved. Maybe this just wasn't the right kind of song lolol perhaps he does rock better.
