Nov. 13th, 2004 02:42 pmIt's been snowing all frigging day. And no i am not thrilled at the first snowfall of the season. Hopefully, the usual pattern is a snowfall like this now in November and then nothing again for another month or more. We hardly had any last winter until the blizzard in February which made up for it all lol
Was going to go to the gym today and also the post office but i'll pass on that.
Watching the dvd for saturday night live 25th anniversary. Glaringly obvious that it's lost the plot. When they flash back to the first 5 years, the real glory years, you can see how good it was. Totally politically incorrect and the chemistry between all the cast members was combustible. There have been brief shining periods since then with good casts but mostly it's just never been the same. They do get shining stars standing out from the crowd but without the rest of the backing cast or writing, it doesn't last long. The good ones don't stay, they never really have, and then go on to bigger things. The dvd is pretty good though overall. Lots of good cameos and classic moments. I haven't watched the show in years though. Would like more of the musical guests though. The musical acts were as much a part of the show as the comedy i thought. And no. So far it doesn't look like any of the few that they have had on are lip syncing. ;)
Oh and how come Father Guido Sarducci only made one short appearance!!! tsk. You call this a tribute? ;)
