Was reading something else and realized i used all my milk making mac and cheese the other day. *note to self... get milk!*

I notice that Scotia Square mall now has posession of two of the decorated lobsters. I have my digicam in my purse so shall take photos and then head out to where i know there's another one i hadn't found before now. I think that will pretty much be all the photos i will get so if anyone is interested i'll post a link to where i have the photos. One of the ones i saw today has a collage of news headlines and photos from Halifax's history which is pretty neat. *note to self...try to get front and back of that one* though it's in an awkward spot to get the back view fully.

The Halifax Busker Festival starts today. The waterfront will be crowded with people watching the performers for the next 10 days. Normally i'd avoid it but there is a trio from Australia called Oka that i really like and they're back again. Also a five man band called Squid, mostly drums but with a piper and i think i'll like them as well. *note to self...buy a program so i can see when they're both playing*.

Have tomorrow off again, my usual Friday. Visiting Mom and Dad's on saturday so Mom can go to a wedding. (edited: whoops wedding isn't this weekend afterall but i haven't been out for a visit so i'll go anyway) *note to self, don't forget to pick up that treat for Dad* There's a Corrie ping on Sunday so hoping Dad will let me take the car overnight and bring it back Sunday. Makes life easier. My friends Katherine and Keith will be in town too, from Labrador.

OKA, a trio from Australia are playing at the Panhandler Buskerfest and luckily i happened upon them 5 minutes before a show. One of the songs on their newer cd is the title of this post and also the title of the cd. They played it, combined with another song i think, techno percussion and sounds mixed with Native American flute, Yadakie (aka didgeridoo), a traditional log drum, and some vocals echoing down the didge. Fantastic! I bought a cd last year and bought another one this year. They sold quite a few i think during that hour playing in the sun.

The waterfront was jam packed though, buskermania has barely begun. ERghhh the crowds are even worse on the weekends and later in the evenings. Ah well, i guess we should be glad it's bringing the tourists in and money into the economy. Funny, i didn't mind the crowds around the Tall Ships nearly as much. This one guy, Silver Elvis was cute. Two buckets at his feet said "Cash activated" and if you tossed a coin in a bucket he'd move around and "robot" dance to taped music.

I went on a photo quest after work, to find the last four "Lobsters in the City" for which i will probably manage to get photos. Two right in the mall, one in the Metro Center box office made of all beer caps and one more at the Brewery Market. Full gallery of my photos (plus i think one or two that i didn't actually take) here.

Another hot perfect summer day. Sunny, breezy. It's cool in my apartment and i've got a cuppa and some watermelon. I'm ready for the weekend. :)
