It's all about attitude
Apr. 9th, 2006 03:52 pmI attended a Corrie fan club get together this afternoon. One of the regular attendees won a raffle prize and hobbled up to pick out her prize. She was using a cane and had on a smashing outfit and heels. She is about my age, maybe a little younger, and she has MS. Her condition varies but overall she's getting worse. I stopped to chat on the way out and compliment her top. She mentioned that her cane didn't match her outfit and i made a reference to her heels and said "I don't know how you do it", meaning, having to use the cane but dressed in heels. She just laughed and said "Just because I'm an invalid, doesn't mean I have to give up the shoes!" Bless! She always has an up beat and positive attitude, at least when she's out and around. Doesn't let it keep her down or home if she can help it. We could all take a lesson from her.
