Rockstar Supernova ends tonight

I got drawn in so i am going to have to see it out. As annoying as all the patter was, i still need to see who wins tonight. I don't really know why it matters, because i have no intentions of buying a cd or seeing the tour in the unlikely event it came to Halifax. It's not likely going to last for more than one cd/tour anyway but it might at least give the winner a break into the business. I think the final four that made it to the end were probably the best of the lot, though i don't like Lukas, the Canadian. Unpatriotic? perhaps. He's just too ... i dunno. Is he what they call Emo? if he is, he's wayyyy tooooo emo! Eye makeup like a panda, hair that drives me insane and so much jewelry he'd set off the metal detectors from the next block over. I find he's too much of a poser and i just don't like his voice or his style. that probably means he'll win lol I liked the Icelander best, Magni, because he seemed the least flashy and i prefered his voice. Last night his original song basically got dismissed so that has probably been his downfall. Although i think the chick, Dilana, is good, i think her attitude has hoisted her by her own petard and i figure Toby from Oz is my pick for who will probably get it. I think they liked his original song the best, too. Catchy chorus.

Mom arrived home on time last night and was in pretty good shape. Didn't seem too tired from the trip but i expect she'll crash out later. No jet lag going out there but i think she'll find it harder coming back east. I always do. Usually my east-flight is overnight so i have the lack of sleep to contend with but i've flown east from BC too and i do find it takes a couple of days to get my sleep patterns back to the proper hours.

Supernova Final

So that's it for my first and last reality show :) It reminds me of why i hate Bingo so much. I get my hopes all built up and then lose. My favourite Magni didn't even get into the last show tonight (what happened there? not even an announcement that he was the low voter or having him on stage when they eliminated him. Nothing was shown on last night's show on my screen. Was it on yours?) aside from flashbacks and the other one i thought was a front runner, Toby, was unceremoniously dropped. Down to Dilana and Lukas. We didn't even get a final sing-off ... What gets me is Lukas and Dilana were all huggy and warm and fuzzy and it's been clear all along everyone hated Lukas's guts! Including me! So naturally who gets to be the new singer? Fucking Lukas! (does his hair remind you all of a skunk?) The only good thing, though, is that's two for two for Canada! (INXS has a local Nova Scotia boy as their lead) It's too bad, of those final two, i think Dilana would have sounded a lot better.

Oh well. They all got paid well for the whole show from what i've heard. Got gifts (guitars and a couple of them got new cars). No doubt the winner gets a pretty lucrative (even if it's going to be short) contract. It's only a McGroup anyway. See you next summer, that's what the host said! Gahhhh they're going to do it again! Someone give me a sharp stick!
