Herd of Buffalo?
Sep. 14th, 2006 07:59 amOf course i've heard of buffalo. The herd i've heard of recently has gone missing. Apparently in Cape Breton, a farm has lost it's herd of 27 buffalo. How can you lose 27 animals that each weigh 1 tonne? But they seem to be gone and drivers in the area are warned to be careful. The owner thinks he might know where they are and says they do tend to all stay together. Makes it even harder to imagine how you couldn't find them for three or four days. Let me tell you, when buffalo move in a herd, if they're running? You really do feel the ground shake!
Saw a coworker go into the elevator this morning with a tray and three large coffee cups (take out). Oh , i said, you've got the coffee run this morning? I see her many mornings with the tray, as it happens. Yes, she said, I can take my time and pick what i want...see they were all *hers*! She buys three in the morning, i suppose gets different things like coffee, cappucino, hot chocolate, whatever, and then just reheats them through the day. I don't know if it's because she just doesn't leave her desk much or if it's because she avoids the longer lines later in the day.
