Feeling more human today, thankfully. That's three days i won't want to repeat for awhile. Yesterday was actually the worst of the three.

Not only is it raining this morning, it's coming down in sheets accompanied by thunder. *sigh*

Think i will give the gym a miss today. I did go on Saturday late afternoon. Wasn't feeling too bad by that time in the day. I would have gone today but after yesterday i think i'll give my body a bit more rest and go tomorrow instead.

I nagged to get my March payment from the Corrieblog people but then this morning there was April's payment too! Right on time! Maybe it wlll go more smoothly from now on but i won't hold my breath. Nice to get all caught up though.

I wanted to like Creature Comforts on CBS last night. I really did. I love the original U.K. version and the American one is produced by the same company so I had hopes. I knew there would be differences. The American sense of humour is different from the British and i know they would have to gear it to their audience. I tried to be objective. But the very first scene, with two dogs sniffing at the butt of another one as if they were nosing a fine wine, discussing all the elements they could decipher (cranberries, cassis etc.) didn't start me off on the right foot. Or paw. Indeed there were more references to human bodily functions which didn't really surprise me. And it shouldn't have surprised me that the last segement was on "animal attraction" and descended into conversations about sex. I wonder how many little kids watched the show and had a few interesting questions for their parents last night! ;) It was on early enough in the evening and, it being animated and cute, i'm sure there were a lot of children watching. Didn't bother me but it was a bit jarring because i've not seen that on the UK one.

Also, there didn't seem to be as much going on in the background and on the periphery. In the original series, it's just as much fun watching the little bits and pieces going on around the main characters being interviewed, like the skating penguin doing triple lutzes behind the polar bear or the amoeba turning into a pac-man and scooping up the other little bits under the microscope. There wasn't too much of that in this series, sadly.
