(no subject)

My back was still sore today so i decided to stay home so i could rest and put ice and heat on it alternately which is harder to do at work. I have one of those massage pads too that feels really lovely. I am going in tomorrow though and i have another appointment at the chiro so that should help sort things out. it's not a really awful flare up like i've had in the past, and usually (touch wood) it's always the worst it's going to get right at the start. It's just uncomfortable and awkward and i get so frustrated. Still, this too shall pass. For now. Anyway, as i have had not a whole lot edible in the fridge so i asked Mom to come get me and we went to the grocery store to pick up a few things. I just wasn't up to the bus today.

She also brought over a movie for us to watch, La Vie en Rose which is the story of Edith Piaf. Well, some of the story. I was looking on Wiki and the movie really did leave a lot out. It jumped back and forth in time but overall it was a very good movie. You can see why she got the Oscar for Best Actress for it. If you didn't know much about her life, though, you probably wouldn't have got a whole lot of information about it from the movie, not really. Just a few things, her affair with a boxer who was married and who died in a plane crash, her loss of a child before she was famous (but this wasn't told until she was nearly dead and you didn't find out anything about her life at that time). It wasn't quite what i expected but i did enjoy it. A good performance.
