Aug. 3rd, 2008 09:04 amThis link was gacked from a travel mailing list i'm on. It's the Top 50 quotes on Travel. Some of them are quite good and some of them could apply to the journey of life too. What are your favourites from the list?
Mine are:
30. “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.” – Susan Sontag
18. “Most of my treasured memories of travel are recollections of sitting.” – Robert Thomas Allen (just sitting and watching the world go by from a sidewalk cafe or a bench some where really is a good way to let somewhere not-home sink in!)
12. “The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see.” – G. K. Chesterton (and there are merits in both!)
10. “When preparing to travel, lay out all your clothes and all your money. Then take half the clothes and twice the money.” – Susan Heller (I think that one should be number 1!!!)
7. “People don’t take trips – trips take people.” – John Steinbeck
