The ultimate revenge?

It's a terrible thing. I shouldn't be laughing. There was a fire in an animal shelter in Ontario where about 100 cats died along with several dogs and rabbits and i feel very bad about that. What struck me funny is that they suspect the cause of the fire is mice. Mice! Chewing through the wires! Talk about "vengeance is mine"!  My coworker says if mice have discovered arson, we're all in for it!

Am now officially on vacation until January 5. Go me! Have a birthday party to attend tomorrow which means i have to get salad made tonight. Was going to go out on Sunday but the weather might be nasty so it's wait and see. gramie_dee and i will have our own Christmas party with pressies on Sunday evening. Have a Christmassy lunch with a friend for Tuesday. I wanted to go to Lee Valley on Monday but it's a fair little distance by bus and the pre-Christmas traffic will probably be insane out there. We'll see. Might do it anyway if it's not too cold.

Foot is still a little twingey. I think i may end up with frostbite if i have to ice this down much longer ;)

Got two!!! post office cards today! Actually one was from yesterday so i think i must have forgotten to check the mail. One is probably the batch of dvds i ordered and the other is another package from gramie_dee from his dad. Good timing! I'll get that tomorrow.

I bought that dojiggy that i can hook up my vcr into which then goes into the computer via USB. I will be playing with that over the next two weeks to get a start on converting my videos to dvd. What would be even better is to borrow a spare vcr from some where but it's not that much of a problem. I just have a delicate balance between the components now :)
