I can has noo shoos! :))) I don't buy shoes that often, especially dressy ones because A. I don't dress up that much and B. they are never comfortable and never fit me right. Anyway, I went over to Spring Garden Road and came upon a sale at Winsby's who carry all the really good makes of shoes (not designer types of things, but just really good and well made brands like Clark's, Romika, Josef Seibel, etc). I got a pair of flat black Sketchers with just a smidge of a heel and a pair of coppery bronze shoes that have cross over straps that velcro shut. Oh i did see a great purse there too that would match those shoes but though it was marked down about 60% it was still 200$!!!! Eek! The black shoes are go do with skirts and dresses. I have a wedding or just the reception, i'm not sure yet, to go to in September and really don't have shoes i can wear that are comfy though i do have something to wear to the wedding.
new shoes

In a the window for Maritime Frame-it i saw these little fellows. The one on the left, "Alas Pork Yorik" and the other one's sign said "Cat on a hot tin Woof" :)))

I went to a movie, too. I saw Public Enemies with Johnny Depp. He plays 1930s gangster John Dillinger, persued by FBI agent Melvin Purvis who was played by Christian Bale. Again, that hand held camera drove me nuts. I know that they mean for it to make you feel like you're right inside the action but it just makes me dizzy. Other than that, it was pretty good but not great. Lots of shooting, some brazen bank robberies, one artsy sex scene (there has to be one, obviously). Aside from those two actors, though, i really didn't recognize any of the others. One or two might have been vaguely familiar but i don't recognize the names looking at the cast list. Yes, it was ok, but i've seen better. I think the story or the writing was a bit flat in places. There was one jaw dropper scene that i thought was a bit unbelievable where Dillinger was right out in the middle of a street but the Feds didn't see him but that was later thrown in their faces so i guess that was the point of it. I don't know how much of the detail is true to life but that particular scene doesn't appear to be. You don't really expect accuracy all that much in a 2 hour movie, you get the gist of it anyway.
