That's true, that saying. "Red sky at night, sailor's delight, red sky in the morning, sailors take warning", meaning bad weather is on the way. The sunrise was very red and bright this morning, bouncing off the low clouds. I looked up from my book as we got to the bus terminal and saw the sky. Wow! By the time we'd got to work 10 or 15 minutes later, the sun was just that much higher that the cloud highlights were fading but there was still a lot of colour in the sky. We're forecast for a lot of rain to day and tomorrow.

Am taking Friday off, not sure what i'm doing yet. I do need to get a few groceries as i'm in charge of dessert for Thanksgiving on Sunday. I am making two things, a dutch apple pie and toffee cheesecake squares so i have to get the supplies for those. I made a sweet and sour pork recipe from the Jamie Oliver book which was quite nice. Not the usual red S&S sauce, it had soy and balsamic vinegar and pineapple with the pineapple juice and it had hot pepper in it so there was a nice little kick to it. Nom!

Been making my way through the latest Diana Gabaldon book and loving it of course. Apparently there is going to be yet another book in the series, making at least 8, and my guess is there will be one more besides because she's been known to have said she think the series will end in 1800 and it's only 1777 or 8 at the moment. She's also going to write a second volume of her "Companion" book, which is sort of a guide to who's who and what's what in the books and she's going to write the story of Jamie Fraser's parents as well. It takes her quite awhile to write her books. Probably won't seen book 8 for 2-3 years from now.
