Sep. 5th, 2013 01:51 pmThe painter got here 10 minutes before I left and was gone when we got back about noon. Good timing. He did a decent job but we noticed though he painted the bathroom door on the inside, he didn't do the outside nor did he do the wood around the vanity. I must look to see if he pulled the fridge and stove out. I bet he didn't. ... yes it looks like he did but he didn't do the door frame. I guess they basically just do the bare necessity. Anyway it's cleaner and it isnt' too strong smelling with the windows all open.
Now i just have to chase down the superintendent to find out about the bathtub liner. I can start putting stuff back on the counters and walls between today and tomorrow and get the super to come back and shift the bookcase back into the kitchen. I'd like to not have it there but there's no other storage space for the small appliances and stuff even if i put some of the cookbooks on my regular bookshelf.
The doctor checked the incision and said there is a little infection at the bottom so prescribed a stronger cream for it. She did say it was healing pretty well overall though so that's good to know. I joked that i'd been gutted like a fish. That kind of threw her lol Now, wait, she said, just back up a bit, and told me i had a procedure with an incision that's going to take awhile, though she wasn't angry or stern saying it. I just giggled and said you have to find humour where you can find it and it did kind of feel like being fileted! She just rolled her eyes and smiled. I told her the recovery was already testing my patience but i was behaving and following the rules.
By the way, for anyone that might be facing a hysterectomy or know someone that is, there's a very good website with lots of excellent articles. You don't have to join but if you do, you can participate on the forums. It's called HysterSisters.com . A friend of mine pointed me there and I've already found some helpful things and some "good to know" things.
