(no subject)

We've got our hotel in Paris booked and it was totally not where and what I had thought we'd end up with . Instead of the Opera area, we're in the Marais district near the Bastille and in an apart-hotel, which is, a little studio apartment with a small kitchen. There will be loads more room at least. It's a short walk from Bastille and even shorter for a Metro stop though that line won't really get us anywhere useful. Can use it to transfer to another one going where we might need to. Busses from the Bastille go good places as well for what's on our list so we have options. There's a narrow park along the boulevard outside the hotel  which provides some greenage. I have heard plenty good about the Marais district so we'll see how it works out. There's supposed to be wifi in the rooms or at least a data connection. The hotel website only says wired but places like Expedia and booking.com say wifi in the rooms so it might just be their website isn't up to date.

That's a load off my mind.

I'll book the car closer to the end of the month, I think, then pre-book tickets to things like the theatre in London, Tower of London, and possibly a guided tour to Giverny. We're going there, and I know it would be cheaper to take the train ourselves but it might be nice to splurge on a tour.
