Meme Day 6 and Valentine's Day fail

1. Family (including G. of course since he's family in all but legal name!)
2. Computer
3. Nice cup of tea.
4. Books (or an ereader these days)
5. Camera
My cousin and I had a lovely brunch and then went to pick out wedding flowers. Only we didn't. I did call the Superstore but was told they don't do wedding flowers anymore. I'm not entirely confince since it took 80,000 rings for someone to answer the phone and it sounded like a spotty 16 year old who may or may not have actually worked in that department. Never mind. I knew of a nearby small flower shop that had done the flowers for Dad's funeral and had done a lovely job. We went there and were told they couldn't help us as it was Valentine's Day and they were far too busy. Doh. I knew it was V.D. but it didn't occur to me that a flower shop would be rushed off their feet. Of course they would be. Then when she heard the date of the wedding, the day before Mother's Day (second busiest day of the year for florists!) she nearly blew us off altogether!
I did tell her that the wedding was small and not a lot was needed so I will call her through the week and she's going to set something up with us on a weekend, which is also something they don't always do. Good grief! AT one point I thought I might have to buy coloured Kleenex and make my own flowers, (we did this as a craft when I was a kid)
