Nova Scotia is connected to the rest of Canada by just a narrow strip of land. I'm going to say 19 miles wide, can't remember if that's the right number but it's not far off. Most of the east cost has been battered wtih snow storms over the past few weeks. Here in Halifax it's not been too bad, not like they've had it in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. I hear now today, though, that we're cut off from the rest of the country. The highway that stretches between the New Brunswick city of Moncton and the Nova Scotia border is closed because the winds are causing white outs and drifting snow across the highway.  It's too dangerous to be driving it. And that, folks, is what winter in much of Canada can be like.

There was something on the CBC news the other day where a man in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, who stands about 5'9", dug a tunnel through the snow to his car, which was also buried of course. Good grief.

I mailed our wedding invitations yesterday and local people got them delivered today! Have already got two email rsvps :) And,  Already getting feedback on how they like the artwork. I'll post it over the weekend. It is really good, he's created another masterpiece!
