Jan. 2nd, 2016 07:24 pmI really looked forward to last year because of the wedding. But this new year is going to be every bit as exciting.
2016 should be the year we finally get to live in the same country! (I say "should" because I'm a little superstitious, but we will soon start making concrete plans). If it works according to what we've been discussing it should be by the end of March/early April.
It'll be an adjustment for both of us, and it's a bit overwhelming for him to make the big move but he's looking forward to it just the same.
He's got a lot to do and I can't get stessed about it. Start clearing the flat, that's the biggest thing, and sending stuff over here including a couple of guitars. The other two we will bring back ourselves when I go over to bring him back. He's got a couple of other smaller instruments as well. I guess we'll just pack them well and put them in carry on bags. I don't think there's a huge amount of stuff to send, some dvds, books, a few ornaments and his photos and things, though some of that he can bring with him in the suitcase too.
I think by the time I get over there, he says, everything should be gone. We may have to sleep in a B&B! Might also take a few days in Ipswich where his closest relatives are before flying out of London I guess. Still have to figure all that out.
