Mike played Karen like a fiddle, didn't he? He was so cool with Joe too, Joe never saw it coming until Mike threw it at him. Mike is certainly not past it like Janice thought. ARTREC = CARTER was all it took for Joe to give up the secret but he was still stupid to think that Mike would hurl accusations without proof, the proof that Karen provided. All because he wanted everything and was narked that Adam would have inherited the factory. I think it had more to do with that heavy chip Joe's been carrying around on his shoulders all his life. Even though Joe could have made things sticky with the cops over that Alahan breakin, i still think Mike should have had the law onto Joe. It's not right that Karen still took more of the heat than Joe and Joe pretty much gets off without any nasty stuff. Money? So? he can scam more in a different trade than the rag trade. Karen might not land on her feet this time.

I think Mike was a little too harsh on Karen, forcing her to leave town or pay 8000 pounds. That was extortion but Karen of course, really couldn't fight that because of her own involvement. She provided Mike with the details, she really couldn't make him sign anything to say he would take no further action because he would just shop her to the cops anyway now he had his money back. I hate to see Karen leave. There was a nice bond between Karen and Rita and Steve and Karen's marriage can't be over like this, there's too many loose ends there. I think she'll be back.

Even Jason can see Todd's being an idiot throwing his education away. Oh sure he's got lots of GCSE's which is good and you'd think he could get a better job than the two he has even without A levels but you do have to give him credit. He's willing to do anything. Eileen chucked Todd out of the house. Get a job or get out. Well he's got a job and she's not happy and she gave up the right for him to tell her anything about his life with her shutting him out of it like that. Since Todd sold the laptop, he should have offered to take over the payments from his mother, too. I think he and Sarah are going to have a battle on their hands with Gail over the baby. Gail may be able to make a case to Family Services but it's not going to be easy. Sarah is of age to take that baby wherever she wants as long as she takes good care of her.

Martin is going to stay under the same roof as Katy. Well what did you think was going to happen? He is trying to listen to Curly, if it's more trouble than it's worth, don't do it. And it *will* be a truckload of trouble if Tommy gets wind of his mate snogging his teenage daughter. Sure there was an age gap between Martin and Gail but Martin was 21 when he got together with Gail. Big difference.

What would Sunita think of Ciaran if she knew he was rubbing Dev's face in the letter incident? it's one thing to confiscate and lie about a flower delivery but that attitude is petty.Dev is used to getting what he wants. Hurting because he can't have Sunita is only because he can't have what he wants. I see even Eileen is joining the black bra under light top brigade. Mike got a new order, i thought Joe's "thieves" took all the stock so what are they sewing up? Bog roll? Poor Martin hasn't had very much luck with his flat, first the fire had him out of the house for months and now pestilence. And how come everyone on the street has a sofa that's 3 feet too short for sleeping on?

That pizza delivery guy has to be the worst delivery guy on the planet! Craig sure has taken a growing spurt, hasn't he? I see Tracy is in viper mode again, not content to hiss and spit at Dev, it looks like she's now taking aim at her next victim, Steve.

Florizel Flowers was the name on that delivery van. True fans of the Street know the significance of that name. (Coronation Street was initially tagged to be called Florizel Street).

I found it odd that 2 total strangers had speaking parts in today's show. First the black woman from Underworld who I don't even recall seeing in the background ever before.

Then this pizza delivery guy. Although I read all the spoilers, I can't remember if he's on the show for a short bit.

Nice to see a few fresh faces though.
