Rain Rain Go Away
Oct. 17th, 2002 01:55 pmOctober is usually clear, cool and sunny. This year we seem to be getting more rain and wind this month when usually, it hits in November. This morning there were winds gusting up to 85 kilometers per hour which means the rain came down (?) sideways like someone throwing a bucket of water out the door. Anyone that lives by the sea knows this is not an unusual turn of events and that there is no reason to own an umbrella as they are useless in a place where there is always a wind pretty much. It's mostly stopped now but the fog is thick, soft and heavy and smells like the salt water. I like fog. I need to walk up the road after work to pick up a mug i painted on Tuesday after work since i'm off tomorrow. Need it for the ping on Sunday so i'd rather get it today than make a trip across tomorrow or Saturday. (definition of a "ping" in my world is http://members.accesswave.ca/~tvor/corrie.html#pingfest ) and i made a coronation street themed mug for a raffle prize. If i think of it i'll take a photo of it.
