Yesterday had it's ups and downs

It turned out really hot yesteday. Broke temp records for this area and surged above the 30 degree mark. Heaven. We sat outside at lunch and baked. We had an early lunch because about 11:30 the power went out. And didn't come back on by after 1 so the instructor said we might as well go home. Don't know what we'll do yet to makeup the time, he could come to our office next week or the week after maybe. The radio this morning said the outages were related to the heat in some way. I expect it will be in the newspaper.

Got home and called my aunt to see if my cousin Gayle had arrived. She had but was out shopping. She called last night though and we're meeting after work today for a coffee, shopping and then dinner once her daughter gets off work :) Tried to call Mom thinking i could go out there for the afternoon. Their phone was accidentally off the hook and couldn't get hold of them all afternoon and couldn't get hold of sis until suppertime. So much for visiting. Well i know what i want to do then... and i pickedup the phone and had a nice long natter with gramie_dee :)

On the downside my internet wasn't working. All afternoon. I thought it was related to the power outage but i called about 5 to see how much longer and it turned out to be just me. The signal coming into this building or just this apartment sometimes drops or has interference and that's what it was i guess cause it's ok this morning. They're coming out on fRiday night to check cause this has happened before. Frustrating. Anyway so this morning i have a load of email to answer. Best get to that.
