Lots of Corrie this week

Edited... ooops meant to post that to the community corriefans but i'll leave it anyway
The first of a couple of months where Corrie is on for four hours a week! That's a lot of updating and comments so i will try not to go overboard with them.
Lines of the week:
Norris "That dog keeps barking" Les "What d'you want it to do? Moo??!!"
Gail re Jason and Charlie in hard hats "Oh there's the other one, the rest of the Village People"
Fred "You're just a filthy pimp!"
Betty "So you're back on the market?" Fred "I'm not. *She* is."
Les re the race horse's chances of winning "He'll walk it!" Chesney "Don't you want him to run it?"
Les "Sting like a butterfly, look like a bee, me"
Poor, poor Sarah! Shocik denial, self blame, devastation and then anger. Sarah doesn't know who Todd is anymore, i don't t hink he really does either. He wants Sarah to stay but she's gone and as hard as that is, it's the best for both of them. Wow, though, a *great* cobblestone she-fight between Gail and Eileen and now it's the buzz of the street, mostly negative and hurtful remarks at Todd's expense. I suppose that's pretty realistic where there are still a lot of people that think being gay is bad and wrong. Todd now has to deal with all that and from his own brother, too. I have to say thought, i *was* rather smug seeing Nick get thumped by Jason. Eileen at least, put it right a few times. The Queer's Mother is proud of him and i agree, he *is* more of a man for telling the truth than living a lie. Steve was such a good mate too, listening when Eileen poured her fears out. that's what it's all about isn't it? She's proud of Todd and afraid for the life he's going to have to lead now.
It was mean of Sarah to take Bethany to Todd like that. Amazing stuff between Jason and Todd too, when Todd broke down in Jason's arms, i think that cracked him. He didn't seem to be quite as hostile after that. For once the lad playing Jason actually did a half decent acting job. Martin didn't take Katy's reveal that she knew about it all very well and i think Katy handled it the right way. She didn't know very long and pressured Todd to tell or she would. And she would have. Martin overreacted.
Fred, if you're sick of being treated like a buffoon, STOP ACTING LIKE ONE! Once Harry knew the truth it wasn't long before he let Ashley in on it. Thankfully it wasn't long after Fred popped the question, on his knees no less. Ashley didn't have a choice but let Fred see for himself. I though the man was going to have a stroke! Again, John Savident puts in an astonishing performance. I really wish they'd called the cops though. He got fleeced of over 6000 pounds less about 350 cash when Dennis had a huge bankroll in his pocket. If they'd gone to the law, they might have got it all back or Dennis would have disappeared along with "Orchid". This whole storyline left a bad taste in my mouth. It made sense, because Fred was at a low vulnerable point after the Penny thing but i still hated it.
Kirk works in a kennel, he should be giving Chesney ideas and help on training the dog aside from telling him he could crate-train him. Well show him how! Les is doing the right thing, putting the dog in the kennel if it's keeping the lad out of school. What a sweet scene with Janice helping to convince Chesney why he should go to "skewel" but oh Heck, bad timing when the social worker walks in on Chesney splashed with beer and cheering on a horse race! LOL! I think everyone's heart collectively broke watching him tell Mrs. Wright how he liked his life living there and apologizing for bunking off school. Who notified Social Services if Norris didn't? I vote for the school when Chesney kept bunking off. Don't know why people didn't think of that. Sounded like the Social did get hold of Cilla though, saying his mother didn't object if Chesney stayed with Les.
Who was it that said "I'm all ears" just before the scene cut to Chesney holding up the dog's long floppy ones! Sally's gone over the edge again. Well after all, she gave birth to a child prodigy, you know! ;) Tommy still treats Katy like a kid and times like this, the age difference is glaring between Martin and Katy. Well if she *will* go running back to her mUm everytime they have a tiff like a stroppy kid, it's no wonder Martin is ready to give it up. Still, not quite eh? She managed to get round him in the end. LOL at Karen deciding she could get away with two wedding anniversaries a year.
Will Tracy stay in Portsmouth? One can only hope. I don't see what the big deal is anyway. Why shouldn't she visit Peter and why does anyone care *what* Blanche will do? She can take care of herself!
There's a new man on the block. He sure turned a few female heads but since when did only child Mike Baldwin have a brother? Tehy haven't even bothered to try to gloss it over by making up an excuse. Danny Baldwin. Well he sure knows how to work people doesn't he? He's full of **it isn't he! That, his wolf-like grin and slick way of manipulating people, well i guess he *must* be related to Mike!
Uh oh, Sarah and the baby are in trouble! and no Gail, *this* isn't all Todd's fault though stress doesn't help. She had a pre-existing condition and Karl certainly put Eileen in her place. She did want Todd and Sarah broken up. Bitter pill to swallow now. Stay tuned for a tough week, people.
