Accident!

How much more of a klutz could i be this weekend? Honest to God, gramie_dee is right, i'm a menace to myself! Saturday i fell over in my bedroom. This involved a laundry basket and the upright Hoover. That's all you need to know, k? My arm is bruised in two places from that. This morning i walked out the back of the building to the car and slipped on a patch of ice and went down again. Gave my knee a bit of a bashing this time and luckily the denim of my jeans was tough and protected my knee from worse scraping. Luckily i had a chiropractor appointment early this morning too so he has given me a head-em-off-at-the-pass adjustment though said i may need another later in the week because sometimes a jolt like that takes a few days to a week to settle back down. Sheesh.

Drove the rental car back and conveniently, there was a bus stop right there though i had to stand half of the way to work. No matter.

Canadian Corrie fans, Ken and Deirdre get married tonight (again). My local paper mentioned 7 p.m. though it isn't usually on until 7:30. I didn't see much of Sunday morning's omnibus. Was there a scroll reminder? Anyway, just keep an eye out.


Dad had a consult with the surgeon yesterday and they are keeping him in overnight and it looks like they'll do a scope today sometime to see what's going on. If he needs that throat stretching thing again, they'll do it. I'm kind of concerned that what's going on is that the cancer is causing this, not the old scar tissue thing. If it isn't now, it will be. I don't know what they do in that case but all things are inevitable at this stage i suppose. Hopefully will know by tonight.

ive heard that when people stressed theyre more prone to injury because the mind's going a mile a minute thinking about *things* and not concentrating properly..

Well in my case, it's just a matter of extreme uncoordination and/or a weak ankle that has me tumbling every so often. It's not unusual for me to be walking around looking like I belong in Sears' Scratch and Dent sale! I swear that being left handed impedes your coordination too!

Jeeeeez when I read the title of this post I thought you'd had an accident in the hire car!!!!! Phewwww anyway, I hope your knee hasn't suffered too much. Bloody meanace lol.
