Spent the day with Mom.
We shopped. :)
Got some very good bargains including a 200 dollar coat (black"wool", maybe some sort of felt or Melton Cloth) for 80 and a 40 dollar top for 10 and another 40 dollar item for 15. I decided on the coat because though i really like my brown pretend leather one, it's very heavy. It's quite useful in very cold or wet weather but this black one is longer and a bit lighter. Wyn, i did like that one you had but i wasn't as keen on the colour for me. I did get another pair of jeans, same style [livejournal.com profile] sammantha has and was told if the zip broke, to bring them back and if they didn't have another one my size they'd pay to get it fixed. There were a lot of good deals on, lots of places had 50% off the marked down price for winter stuff and places already had spring stuff on the shelves. All the summer stuff will go on clearance in July!

Very proud of Mom too, she drove all the way over to Bayer's Lake, over the bigger bridge with extra lane changes and everything. She didn't like it but she did it! Wouldn't have if she hadn't had a copilot and she said she was glad i didn't mind. I said if i got scared, i would just close my eyes ;) The more you do it, the more confident you will get. Luckily she doesn't need to go over that area too often and with the new Dartmouth Crossing shopping development, there really won't be any need at all.

We visited her best friend in their new condo after that. Really lovely place! From there we had a bite to eat and stopped in to another Pennington's near there and spent more money :) That's where i got the jeans. I definitely have to clear my closets of pants that i don't wear anymore, either from them shrinking up too short or just tired of them. I have a winter coat and two spring coats that i think i'll find new homes for too. One is a beautiful red wool coat with black fur on the collar and cuffs. I really hate to let that go though. It's only a tiny big too small for me so i might hang on to it just in case.

Now i think i'll reinforce the buttons on my new coat because they seemed a little loose and i have to fix a bra where the underwire has come through under the arm.

Mom prefers to go on the old bridge because the new one is so open and windy but there are some places that are so much closer if you go that way.

I didn't like "going over" but it seemed easy coming back. No lane changes. Pretty straight=forward. That's what I like! :) Even though I have virtigo, (I always used that as an excuse not to go on the new bridge)it evidently wasn't a problem at all. However, I will go over on the old bridge just because I'm more comfortable, and come back on the new bridge. Maybe if I can get the route down better without lane changes, like starting out in the right lane! I might get the courage to do it again. But I'll still need a co-pilot. Ready for another go sometime Diane??? lol!
