Feb. 6th, 2003 01:23 pmStitches out. Apparently i am not a wuss and it's not unusual to still be having pain a week after the extraction considering how rough it was. I'm sorry for whinging and whining. Have even began to bore myself so i'll stop now.
sammantha is going to book her flight by tomorrow so hopefully can get the same flight over as me. I don't see why she wouldn't as it's not until april 3 so plenty of time. I knew i could book the bus ticket from Heathrow to Birmingham online but i discovered they would actually mail it to me even though i am not in the U.K. so will probably do that. Though might i be jinxing myself? It would be just my luck then that the plane would be late landing. I'm not cutting it fine, i'm allowing an hour and a half to when the bus is scheduled to leave after w hen the plane is scheduled to land. But one flight i took was an hour late leaving Halifax. there's a precedent.
I can easily drive myself insane with details, have you noticed? Get insurance on the ticket (99p extra) and change the time if i have to.
first payday after the contract was signed and i cleared about 50 dollars which was pretty close to what i estimated. We got the retroactive pay last pay and that paid for the plane ticket. Have done the budget and should have everything covered by the time i leave with a few hundred to spare. I allowed $1000 for spending money over and above hotels, transportation costs (gas, bus, train) so that's probably more than enough since i doubt i'll be buying very many souvenirs. Oh i will probably get Jo and Tracey's birthday pressies and maybe Mother's Day present as well if i see something i think Mom will like on my travels. North american mother's day is in May.
Back to perusing a bit more of BBC History magazine before lunch is done.
